I-15 Fatal Accident 1
A driver was killed after his Ford Explorer struck a concrete bridge pillar on the southbound side of Interstate 15 in Murrieta. The vehicle burst into flames after colliding with the pillar at approximately 80 miles per hour while attempting to pass a semi truck on the right shoulder. Good samaritans attempted to rescue the man, but were unable to free him from the vehicle due to the extensive damage and intense flames.
