Learn how to work safely through California's fire season during our webinar with CAL FIRE Battalion Chief Jon Heggie on June 24th at 11AM. The hour-long webinar will cover the basics of wildfire behavior, what safety equipment to carry with you and in your vehicle, how to work alongside CAL FIRE without interrupting their efforts, and more. There will also be a 10 minute Q&A at the end where Chief Heggie will answer any lingering questions.

Jon Heggie is a Battalion Chief with CAL FIRE assigned to Public Information for Southern California. Chief Heggie is also a member of CAL FIRE's Incident Management Team 3 where he is currently an Operations Branch Director. He has been a Unit Safety Officer, Fire Behavior Analyst, Unit Public Information Officer as well as a field Battalion Chief over a 28-year career. Chief Heggie has held the position of Public Information Officer on numerous large incidents and has vast experience with media relations and public information.
