In Palm Springs, CA, Marilyn Monroe is a symbol of hope. The 26-foot-tall sculpture "Forever Marilyn" was installed to revive the city’s tourist economy which was decimated during the COVID-19 pandemic. “We are hoping she’ll be a magnet and the 800-plus businesses downtown that have suffered will get some relief,” says Aftab Dada, Chairman of PS Resorts, the tourism group that brought the sculpture to Palm Springs. Karina Raude of the Seward Johnson Atelier, carries supplies.
